Name - Oklahoma has the largest population of Native Americans out of any other state, so it's only natural to have that sort of heritage. OK also has a substantial German population, thus the first name of 'Abby.' The last name is Choctaw.

Disliking doctors - Oklahoma has one of the worst healthcare systems out of any other state... :/

Distrustful at first/hospitable - While Oklahoma was voted the third most friendly state in the US, we're still wary of strangers. XD

not trusting Alfred - one (two?) word(s): Indian-giver

money/weather radio in purse - Oklahoma has a pretty booming economy. We're still poor compared to other states, but we're getting there. Just slowly...

flip-flops - Oklahoma has the most man-made lakes of any state (mostly done by the CCC in the 30s and 40s). I live in a community that's actually "part two", since the original Hochatown is now under the Broken Bow Lake. haha
